Primary Duties and Responsibilities
o Must become a trainer for CPR/First Aid or SCIP/Promote o Work closely with DA II and DA III o Supervise DSA's; Head of Shift duties o Some scheduling of regular shifts, medical appointments as well as for unforeseen events-call-ins, hospital coverage o TIMES o Implement and follow residential habilitation, protective oversight and behavior plans o Participate, plan, and oversee community inclusion opportunities o Manage personal funds and ensure compliance with all related agency Policies and Procedures. (CITRIX database) o Interact with families; provide guidance/assistance as needed to families regarding their loved ones o Oversee fire plans, drills and evacuation procedures o Have knowledge of and apply agency policies and procedures regarding personnel and regulatory compliance matters o Communicate regularly with supervisor, IRA staff and clinicians on issues and daily IRA operations o Act as a role model for staff and actively participate in direct service delivery for primarily total care individuals o Attend and participate in ISP and other planning meetings o As indicated, plan and attend house staff meetings o Maintain a working relationship with Day Habilitation providers o Prepare for and participate in surveys. Implement subsequent plans of corrective action o Complete required paperwork timely including incident reports, employee evaluations, and monthly fire safety rounds. o Significant personal care services to be provided o Interested applicants refer to the Classification Standards for the title which is available in the Office of Human Resources Management o Other Duties as Assigned.

Salary Range:
From $41130 to $53081 Annually

Any current Developmental Assistant 1 Any permanent employee eligible for a 70.1 transfer. Promotional Opportunities:

In the event that there is not a valid eligible list, candidates who meet the qualifications below may be qualified for a provisional appointment. Minimum
Qualifications:
One year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service as a Developmental Aide, Developmental Disabilities Secure Care Treatment Aide 1, Forensic Program Aide, Licensed Practical Nurse, Mental Health Therapy Aide, Residential Program Aide, Secure Care Treatment Aide 1, Teaching Assistant, Training Aide; or in a traineeship in any of the above titles; or in a corresponding language parenthetic of any of the above titles. Note:
Appointment to Developmental Assistant 1 is contingent upon completion of a variable length traineeship.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
